          Early life

          Meade grew up in New London, Ohio and graduated from New London High School.[1] She attended Malone University and Ashland University,[2] where she majored in radio/television production, programming and performance and minored in political science.[1] She graduated in 1991.

          Career

          In 1992, Meade became Miss Ohio,[3] and was a semi-finalist in the 1993 Miss America pageant.[4]

          Meade began her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio.
