Andrea Mitchell (born October 30, 1946)^[1] is an American television journalist, anchor and commentator for NBC News, based in Washington, D.C.

She is NBC News' chief foreign affairs & chief Washington correspondent, reporting on the 2008 presidential election campaign for NBC News broadcasts, including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt,Today and MSNBC.
